Origin
When I created Atom Age Media roughly one and a half years ago it was not uncommon to get some very strange results on a search. Even with the filter on strict I remember seeing websites that offered some extremely offensive material. I personally sent letters to Google Yahoo and MSN (and the FBI if any reference was made to children) regarding adult sites that had made it through the filters on several occasions. All the major engines were and still have listings that included complete spamsites. Many plainly appeared to be duplicates by the same authors with nothing but a few links and tons of embedded ads and pop ups. A different colour change and maybe a variation in titles or file paths. Some of course were designed by newbies too, and were just making some of the same mistakes a lot of overeager webmasters make, pages saturated with keywords with the worst sentence structure imaginable, over stuffed metatags titles and paths. Needless to say I got tired of weeding through tons of junk to find a movie I could actually watch free as was being advertised and began bookmarking the good ones, including news feeds which I was hooked on for the first year. I believe the access to international news and commentary is the absolute best feature of the Internet, as education and communication is the key to a better world.

At the time there were only a few providers that actually had free full length features and a watchable stream. For free high speed streams there was only Movieflix, CinemaNow and Netbroadcaster. Yahoo Broadcast also had free high speed streams but is no longer available free. Premminger Archives may have been the first to provide free movie streams and downloads. It has no recent full length features like the commercial movie sites but it is an amazing resource for entertainment and education and is one of the nets best websites.

So with entertainment in mind and the availability of news feeds I settled on the media theme planning to expand and publish my own views on news stories with my own spin. There were a few that had some decent content and used similar file names. What I have noticed is in many searches on the net you will see the same results. Tons of absolute copying of style or structure and content and any that hadn't seen the others before in the serps [Search Engine Results Pages] often assume that someone copied them directly or indirectly. This is one reason we find the Internet archive a very useful website as it indexes any site of note unless denied by robot or htaccess. This means many websites can be entered into a wayback machine search and see which website is older or how it has changed. Keep in mind if the site entered was crawled during a time of edit you may not be seeing an exact copy of what the site looked like at the time.

Our intent is to eventually provide a human edited directory of the best online entertainment that will include reviews of the best features as well as offering a feature download or stream . We currently have a few exclusive wma streams and mp3s of local Toronto bands and games hosted on our server, as well as virus and security tips and info and a human edited shopping and business directory with all original copy.

All the text contained in my websites are original copy ( including the tips and informative facts )except where a credit is indicated, no words have been lifted or copied without permission. If anyone believes they have been copied from or not credited in anyway we urge them to contact us and present the issue rather than assume that we have carelessly used there material or content.
